Swindon Town man refuses to be drawn on long-term future with contract*

Charlie Austin, a striker for Swindon Town, is mum on his long-term future at the County Ground.
The forward rejoined Swindon Town in 2022 after playing for Brisbane Roar in Australia.
At the end of the season, Austin, 34, will have his contract expire and will become a free agent.

He has given this most recent update on his circumstances, according to a Swindon Advertiser report: We’ll have to wait and see. “My wife and I have had discussions [about next year], but that has nothing to do with you people. You’ll have to wait and see, but I’ve had the talks.

After that, he played in the Premier League for West Brom, Southampton, QPR, Burnley, and other teams before moving to Australia.

Austin scored four goals in eleven A-League games with Brisbane Roar before making the decision to return home.

In terms of whether he chooses to stay on longer or take on a fresh challenge elsewhere in the upcoming campaign, Swindon will have to wait and watch.
