Despite Swindon Town’s interest in Joel Colwill, a prospect for Cardiff City, Colwill is expected to sign a loan with League Two team Cheltenham Town for the upcoming campaign.
Despite making his professional debut in August of last year, the midfielder is still unproven at the senior level, despite the Welsh club’s high regard for him.
Colwill has made five senior appearances, but his team is still searching for ways to give him more.
The player will go on loan to League Two from the Championship club, where they believe he will receive regular first-team experience that will help him improve.
Swindon Town has expressed interest in Colwill, and it’s thought that Mark Kennedy’s team even submitted an offer for him.
Colwill, 19, will transfer to Whaddon Road on loan for the whole 2024–2025 season. Cardiff will be closely monitoring Colwill’s progress while he is at Cheltenham Town, who were relegated from League One last season. Nevertheless, Colwill defeated them.
