Swindon Town seals deal, medicals booked

Swindon Town are taking a look at the Scottish Premiership man in training as they are set for a  swoop ahead of next season. They are in the hunt for some more signings this summer as they prepare for life under former Lincoln City boss Mark Kennedy.

Boruc, 21, is currently under contract at Hibernian, but his contract with the Edinburgh team isn’t working out, so he’s been given the opportunity to try his luck at the County Ground. His contract at Easter Road expires in 2025, but his future in the Scottish Premiership is currently uncertain. According to the Daily Record’s most recent update on his situation, the player is now being considered by the Robins, who finished down in a disappointing 19th place in the table last season.

Swindon Town could see Boruc as someone to add more competition and depth to their goalkeeping department.

He still has plenty of time on his side and potential to develop down the line.

The Warsaw-born man is a distant cousin of former Southampton, Celtic and Poland player Arthur Boruc.

The 6′ 5inc Boruch began his career in Sweden, spending time at IFK Värnamo, Husqvarna FF, and Värnamo Södra FF. He later played for Stoke City and West Brom before being signed by Śląsk Wrocław in 2021, where he went on to become an important member of the Polish team’s B team in the II liga.

Hibernian landed him in June last year on a two-year deal and he went on to play three games for them last term under their ex-boss Lee Johnson.

He fell down the pecking order under Nick Montgomery though and was shipped out to Arbroath on loan.
