Police descend on house after man’s body found

Police found the body of a man at a house in Tameside after receiving reports of ‘concern for his welfare’.

Officers were called to Bentley Road in Denton on Friday evening (August). Police had received multiple calls over concerns for his welfare, the Manchester Evening News understands.

At the scene, officers entered the house and sadly found a body. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed this was a 58-year-old man.

Residents reported seeing multiple police vehicles stationed outside the house as investigations were carried out inside. The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious, the GMP spokesperson added.
