In a rush-hour two-car collision in Woking, a man lost his life. Emergency services were summoned to Denton Way.
It happened after two vehicles were reported to have collided, according to Surrey Police. Although paramedics were called, the man in his 40s was declared deceased on the spot.
After the collision, Denton Way was blocked between Bishops Wood and Clifton Way intersections. Police stated that while the crash investigation was ongoing, it was “likely to remain so for the next few hours.
Anyone who witnessed what happened is being urged by the police to come forward.
In an information request released on Monday evening, Surrey Police stated: “We are requesting witnesses in relation to a fatal collision that occurred in #Woking earlier today.” There were reports of a two-vehicle collision, so at around 5:10 p.m., officers were called to Denton Way.
“A man in his 40s was tragically declared dead at the scene despite the paramedics’ best efforts, according to South East Coast Ambulance Service.
