According to police, there has been a collision near Thurlbear, and the ROAD is currently closed.
The road will be “closed for some time,” according to Avon and Somerset Police, and emergency services are on the scene close to “Thurlbear Straight.”
“Please be aware that there are some diversions in place around Thurlbear, locally known as ‘Thurlbear Straight’ in Taunton due to a road traffic incident,” an Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said.
“Please stay away from the area if you can, as the road will be closed for a while.
“Alternative routes are advised for drivers, and emergency services are on the scene.”
“I appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.”
According to Travel Somerset, there has been a collision at the intersection of Shoreditch Road and Staplehill Fitzpaine Road, causing a road closure that leads to Thurlbear Road.
“The road is expected to remain closed for several hours.”
