There’s little doubt that many Texas Longhorns will hear their names called during the NFL Draft, which takes place in Detroit from April 25–27, but the questions are how many and when.
Nine Texas players are predicted to be selected, depending on whose seven-round mock draft you believe at this still-early stage of the process. Of those nine, at least three are predicted to toy with the first round pick: defensive tackle Byron Murphy II, wide outs Xavier Worthy and Adonai Mitchell.
Although invites to the NFL Scouting Combine for the following month are not yet official, it seems likely that Texas will be well-represented, with as many as six Longhorns expected to travel to Indianapolis.
