Tottenham Hotspurs Loses Another Key Player>

After finishing his medical today, defender Sergio Reguilon of Tottenham Hotspur is almost certain to clinch a loan deal with Brentford.

This month, Sergio Reguilon made an early return to Tottenham after spending time on loan at Manchester United.

when making 12 appearances for Erik ten Hag, the 27-year-old was brought on as an emergency replacement for Luke Shaw when Tyrell Malacia sustained an injury.

According to a source from yesterday, Reguilon is almost certain to go to Brentford, and his medical appointment is set for today.

The Spaniard appears ready to leave again after arriving back from United just as the January transfer market opened.Reguilon has reportedly finished his physical and is headed to Brentford’s training field to complete a move across London, according to David Ornstein.

On Wednesday afternoon, the journalist from Athletic posted an update on Reguilon’s planned relocation to the Gtech Community Stadium on X.

Ornstein asserts that the Bees will not be able to purchase Reguilon this summer even if they will be paying a portion of his salary.

“Sergio Reguilon has finished his medical and is on his way to the Brentford training ground to complete his loan move from Tottenham—there is no buy option,” he stated.”Brentford FC initially contacted Henry in November (considered an excellent replacement) and agreed to contribute to his salary.”

Reguilon has not really made an impression in North London since joining Spurs in the summer of 2022 for a reported fee of approximately £32 million.

Although he showed promise in the beginning under Jose Mourinho, he swiftly lost favour after Antonio Conte arrived and has never played a minute under Ange Postecoglou.

Reguilon is set to embark on his third loan stint since joining Spurs, and it is likely that the team will be eager to let him go permanently in the summer.

He is obviously not part of Postecoglou’s plans, and he is now in the last 18 months of his Tottenham deal.
