Bryan Gil has been sighted working out with Pedro Porro at Tottenham Hotspur as the latter continues his recovery from an injury. The club posted a photo of the young winger and his fellow countryman from Spain on Instagram
Being a Tottenham player at this moment is incredibly exciting because the team is producing some amazing football under Ange Postecoglou.
They more than matched one of the clubs predicted to threaten Manchester City at the top of the standings, despite failing to stop their winless streak at the Emirates at the weekend.
Perhaps even more impressive was that they managed to do so without compromising their playing style
Although Postecoglou hasn’t had to deal with many injuries this year, several players haven’t played because of their fitness.
If Ryan Sessegnon hadn’t undergone hamstring surgery, he most likely would have moved on, but anticipation for Rodrigo Bentancur’s return is already rising
Bryan Gil has recently been observed working out with Pedro Porro at Tottenham as he gets closer to being able to play again.
It might be difficult for the “superstar” winger to get Postecoglou’s attention.
However, as Pape Matar Sarr has demonstrated, the Australian has already demonstrated that he is willing to give young players an opportunity.
In the Instagram video Tottenham posted, Gil and Porro can be seen warming up on their bikes before a workout.
As they look to be getting ready for a training session, the defender shakes Gil’s hand.
Gil hinted on social media a few weeks ago that his return to full fitness was imminent.
He hasn’t played for Tottenham since a brief cameo against Preston in the FA Cup at the end of January.
The winger afterwards left on loan for Sevilla, where he started the match against AS Roma and helped the team win the Europa League
Despite the fact that few players appear to suffer playing under the Australian, he is expected to succeed under Postecoglou.Gil appears to be Porro’s top priority at Tottenham training, as the Spanish duo may end up playing together on the right wing this year.
To obtain that chance, he must beat out Dejan Kulusevski and recently signed Brennan Johnson.
