Drug-drive arrest after crash partially blocks A326 between Totton and Ashurst

Following a two-vehicle collision that temporarily obstructed the A326 between Totton and Ashurst, a MOTORIST was taken into custody.

The silver Nissan Qashqai and the black Audi A3 collided at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Friday.
Hampshire police reported that there were minor injuries.

The 38-year-old Blackfield resident driver of the Audi was taken into custody by police on charges of drugged driving.
Later on, after an investigation, he was freed.

There were delays in both directions of the morning rush hour traffic due to a partial blockage of the major route on the roundabout between Knellers Lane and Cocklydown Lane.
