A MAN, 19, has been charged with conspiracy to cause grievous harm after a man in his 20s was stabbed in Basingstoke’s town centre.
As previously mentioned, around 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, Hampshire Constabulary officers responded to a complaint of a stabbing victim who was in his 20s on Churchill Way in Basingstoke.
After being admitted to the hospital with severe but non-life-threatening injuries, he was eventually released.
Three guys have been taken into custody in relation to the incident by cops who have been conducting many inquiries since this was reported. They have now charged one of them.
Segest Meti, 19, of York Road, Aldershot, is accused of planning to intentionally inflict great bodily damage.
He was remanded into custody after his appearance at the Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 10.
It happens after two more males were taken into custody by police as part of their investigation.
A 32-year-old Basingstoke man was detained in January on suspicion of planning to intentionally cause great bodily injury.
He was granted conditional release until Wednesday, April 24, while more investigation was conducted.
A 28-year-old guy from London was detained in February on suspicion of planning to intentionally cause great bodily damage.
He was released on conditional bond until Wednesday, May 8, while more investigation was conducted.
A Hampshire Constabulary police spokesperson said: “Officers continue to investigate the incident and would like to appeal for witnesses and information.
