Man caught with death stars in Totton in court

The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates’ Court…

JAMES WILLMOTT, 35, of Warburton Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, namely cannabis in Basingstoke. He was ordered to pay a £60 fine, £40 court costs and a £24 surcharge. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.

RYAN BIFFIN, 35, of Barters Close, Southampton admitted to exceeding a temporary 50mph speed restriction on the M3 southbound between junctions nine and eleven at Winchester. He was clocked at 57mph whilst driving a Volkswagen. Biffin was banned from driving for six months and received three points on his licence. He must also pay an £80 fine and £110 court costs.

ELLIOTT THOMPSON, 30, of Hill Lane, Southampton pleaded guilty to exceeding a temporary 50mph speed restriction on the M3 between junctions 11 and 12 at Winchester. He was clocked at 61mph by an automatic camera whilst driving a Mercedes southbound. He was banned from driving for six months and received three points. Thompson was also fined £161 and must pay £110 court costs plus a £64 surcharge.

ROSS NOYCE, 44, of Meadow Avenue, Locks Heath admitted to possessing an offensive weapon in a private place, namely four death stars which he had at Downs Park Avenue, Totton. He was also found guilty of harassment without violence. He received a 12-month conditional discharge for the possession charge and a one-year community order for the harassment. He must complete up to 15 rehabilitation days and 60 hours of unpaid work. A restraining order was made banning him from contacting his victim for the next year. Another order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the items. Noyce must pay a £114 surcharge.

JEFFREY KEATING, 49, of Grayson Close, Lee-on-the-Solent admitted to assault by beating in New Milton. He was ordered to pay £100 compensation and a £700 fine. He was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £280 surcharge.
