During an early-morning raid on a Totton home, police found a cache of drugs, cash, and an offensive weapon. As a result, TWO persons were placed under custody.
Thanks to the assistance of the recently established New Forest High Harm Team, officers carried out a warrant execution at the Clydesdale Way house on Wednesday just after 7.30am.
Along with some cash, cell phones, an extendable baton, and other drug-related items, a number of class B narcotics were found and confiscated.
The force initiative was established to assist in addressing the greatest threat and harm throughout the district, as indicated in the A&T.
A 57-year-old lady from the area was taken into custody by the police on suspicion of money laundering and the distribution of class B drugs.
A 30-year-old male from the area was taken into custody on suspicion of bringing in class B narcotics, having anything to do with the distribution of class B drugs, and carrying an offensive weapon in a public setting.
The public is being urged to continue coming forward if they, or someone they know, suspects that an address in their community is being used for drug-related offences, according to New Forest district commander Ch. Insp. Nick Marsden.
Ch. Insp. Marsden stated, “We are very clear that this behaviour will not be tolerated in our communities across the New Forest.”
“We will not quit in our tenacious pursuit of lawbreakers who pose a threat to our communities.
“Remember that the community provides us with important information that guides our resource allocation and enables us to take action against any illegal activity.”
“Criminals need to understand that the New Forest is a hostile environment for them,” he continued.
