Weapons and suspected class A drugs seized in police

During a narcotics raid on a Totton residence, police found a cache of illegal firearms as well as an imitation firearm. Early on Wednesday morning, officers from the town and Hythe executed the warrant at an address in Kingsley Gardens, working alongside colleagues from the recently established New Forest High Harm squad. A search of the address turned up several suspected class A narcotics and associated paraphernalia in addition to the guns.

While investigations continue, the 43-year-old local man who occupied the property was scheduled to be questioned about the seized items.

Following the seizure of various goods, a police Facebook post stated: “This was a positive warrant with ongoing inquiries.”

Since drugs from Totton can find their way to the Waterside, we cooperate with one another in the New Forest for warrants and operations, and they will help us on our next warrant.

“When entry was made, the renowned ‘big red key’ managed to choke open another door and give an early wake-up call.”

Officers were reminded that they depend on public intelligence, so anyone with concerns about issues in their neighbourhood were asked to report them via phone at 101 or online at hampshire.police.uk.
