Fabrizio Romano: Crysencio Summerville exit on the cards at Leeds United as Premier League transfer twist emerges
According to Fabrizio Romano, Crysencio Summerville is wanted after he scored two goals for Leeds United against Norwich on Saturday.
Romano said on Saturday, October 21, on his personal X account that Summerville, 21, turned down several chances to leave Elland Road in the summer in order to become an important member of the Championship team.
It’s known that Burnley, Everton, and Bournemouth are all interested in the Netherlands Under-21 winger.
Following Summerville’s game-winning effort at Carrow Road, Romano now claims that Premier League teams are beginning to keep an eye on his development in advance of the January transfer market.
Leeds cannot let Summerville become unsettled because he’s been in superb form in recent weeks.
The former Feyenoord forward has helped the Whites earn nine points in his last three Championship games by scoring three goals and providing one assist.
On Saturday, he was on fire at Carrow Road, helping Leeds overturn a 2-0 deficit against Norwich to win 3-2 thanks to goals in the 77th and 85th minutes.
Summerville has proven to be a match-winning player for Leeds on previous occasions, thus Daniel Farke’s team will have a greater chance of gaining promotion as long as he is in the lineup.
Leeds is now six points behind Ipswich in second place in the Championship.
Why would Summerville quit in January when it appears like we have a better chance of getting promoted if he turned down the opportunity to go in the summer when things were uncertain?
Premier League teams are free to watch all they want, but Leeds needs to act quickly to lock down the Dutchman with a new deal.
