Aston Villa Star Spoken To People At Former Club Discussed Retured.’

Moreno joined Unai Emery’s side in this year’s January window from Real Betis on a three-and-a-half-year deal and established himself as an important player at the club.

The Villans are outperforming expectations this season, sitting third in the Premier League table, although Moreno has been sidelined for the bulk of the season.

He sustained a hamstring injury last season and returned late last month in the Europa Conference League against Legia Warsaw, where he also scored.

Moreno has been linked with a return to Real Betis, with the Spanish club looking for a left-sided full-back in January.

Even though Moreno interacts with his old Real Betis teammates on a regular basis, a conversation about his return to Spain has yet to take place, according to the Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo.

Moreno, 30, was Emery’s first-choice left-back ahead of Lucas Digne during the second part of the previous season, starting 19 games for the Villans from January to May.\

Moreno will be trying to reclaim his starting spot at Villa Park with his performances in the remaining months of the current season.
