Barcelona could be ‘Danger’ to Aston Villa fans as Emery exit verdict shared’

Emery has worked wonders across 16 months a Pt Villaark, having guided the club away from trouble and into Europe in his first season.

With the Villans now sitting fourth in the Premier League, the Spaniard has them on track to play in the Champions League the following season.

In the meantime, concerns have been raised regarding Mauricio Pochettino’s future at Chelsea, and the Liverpool position will become vacant in the summer.

Goodman, though, thinks Emery won’t leave Villa unless one of the big two makes an appearance from his native country.

“How are you not impressed with what he’s accomplished?” Goodman stated to Villa News. “After taking them from staring over their shoulders at the relegation zone, he gets them into Europe in a matter of months.”

He not only gets them into Europe, but he also gets this season off to an amazing start. The majority of analysts believe Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal will win the title, but Villa is in the mix.

The future of Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea is doubtful.
“They’re three points off Arsenal and five points off Liverpool, so anyone who’s not impressed by that would blow my mind,” Goodman continued. Both the tactical acumen and recruitment of Villa have been outstanding.

“The position at Liverpool will open up, but is he a suitable fit? Really, I have no idea. Is he the manager of Arsenal? He has already been there, therefore it seems improbable that he will return.

“If you look at the table, there aren’t many bigger clubs than Villa.” Do Chelsea look as good as Villa at the moment? Not in my opinion.

“At this point in time, if I were a player and had to choose between Villa and Chelsea, I would go to the Midlands rather than London.

It’s a tough one, but I don’t really see anything larger and better than Aston Villa in this nation if he’s getting the support and backing to grow Aston Villa year in and year out to play in Europe.

“Obviously, there are Spanish teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona, which are in disarray. That’s where Aston Villa supporters may be in danger, but from the Premier League? I fail to see it.

Champions League football heading to Villa Park

Emery has prior experience running a supposedly top club at Paris Saint-Germain, although his tenure there was not very happy.

The same is true of his tenure as manager of Arsenal; at Villa, he is content and has the support of the fans, so he can’t go wrong in their eyes.

Although Villa lost to Chelsea this week in the FA Cup, which was unfortunate, the team is currently in a far stronger position than the London team.

While some might contend that Villa’s current situation is an exception and that business as usual will resume in the upcoming season, there is no reason why this cannot continue.

Emery has received a lot of support from the community and is a strong candidate to return to managing in the Champions League the following year.

Even if it was Barcelona, Emery would be well aware from past experience that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

In other Aston Villa news, Emery might have to think about benching a regular for the match against Manchester United.
