Barrow Raiders sign fresh man professional deals

Two of the Barrow Raiders’ up-and-coming talents have signed their first professional contracts.

Centre Due to their preseason performances, Seth Woodend and winger Dan Knott have been awarded with contracts that will allow them to join the first team squad and be selected for league and cup games.

With the help of the Barrow Raiders Super Lotto, the signings are now attainable.

Woodend scored tries against Whitehaven and Salford Red Devils, while Knott scored three goals during the preseason, twice during the friendly match against Whitehaven and once against Workington.

Paul Crarey, the head coach of the Barrow Raiders, stated: “Dan is a gifted winger who can also play full-back, while Seth is an exceptional prospect at the centre position.

We are eager to assist them in realising their full potential in the game after they impressed in our preseason games.

“We will keep an eye on Ollie Holmes and Trent Ruddy, who both performed admirably in the warm-up games. All four will remain in the first team squad and continue to practice.

“All of the players are constantly observed during practice and competition, and the Furness Raiders academy setup remains an excellent breeding ground for young, aspiring professionals.”
