Terry Yegbe of IF Elfsborg has drawn interest from Sheffield United, Fulham, and Crystal Palace, according to a report published three days ago by Fotbolldirekt. Additionally, it was reported that the Swedish club would require €5 million to approve his winter market sale.
The defender signed a contract with Elfsborg through December 2028 at the beginning of this year, leaving Finnish team SJK behind.
Borås Tidning confirms what Fotbolldirekt said on the Championship team, Fulham, and Eagles’ interest in the 23-year-old. They bring this up in their conversation with Stefan Andreasson, the manager of Elfsborg Club. It is important to note that he is a director at the Swedish club rather than the head coach.
Under Oscar Hiljemark’s direction, Yegbe made 35 appearances for the Swedish team, including four in the Europa League. Sheffield United, Fulham, and Crystal Palace are all interested in signing him.
Andreasson has stated that his team wants to keep the centre-back after this season. He has endorsed Yegbe to join a team in the top five leagues since he knows that Yegbe will depart eventually. A move to Sheffield United is therefore out of the question.
There is a lot of interest in him, but I won’t talk about the teams. He remarked, “Terry is smart and has smart people around him.”
Instead of being the midway club, our goal is to be able to move directly from us to the top five leagues – Hákon Valdimarsson is a good example of that.
“We are certain that Terry will play for Elfsborg the following season as well, but I’m convinced he will have a long and successful career outside of Sweden. He hasn’t even participated in a whole Elfsborg season yet. However, everyone is aware that in this industry, things can happen very quickly.
