Bristol City star tells Cardiff City clubs ‘I’m available’ as next transfer hinted

With news that he would be leaving QPR at the end of the season, former Bristol City forward Albert Adomah is searching for a new team.

The 36-year-old has chosen to part ways with the Hoops, which means his time at Loftus Road is drawing to a close. Having played for the team for four seasons, Adomah recently surpassed the record for the most appearances by a player in the Championship. He has over 100 games under his belt.

Even though Adomah turns 37 at the end of the year, he plans to keep playing. In order to have his shirt number correspond to his age of 37, he wants to play for at least one more season.

“Although I’m 36 now, my goal has always been to play until I’m at least as old as my shirt number, which is 37,” he stated.

“Hopefully, I can play closer to my current home in the Midlands for one or two more seasons.”

“Uncs is available to any team in the area that is watching!

All kidding aside, though, I think my experience still has a lot to give. All I want to do is keep playing football.

Adomah was a well-liked player at Bristol City, where he joined from Barnet and played for the Robins for 136 games between 2010 and 2013. After spending £1 million, he moved on to play in the Premier League for Middlesbrough. He also made appearances for Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa. Adomah, like many other ex-City players, played for Cardiff City, the rival team from Severnside, first on loan in the 2019–20 campaign and then on loan to QPR in 2020.

Adomah stated he would play for City at no cost in an interview with the One Stream podcast in Bristol in January 2023.

“I’ve loved the love you’ve shown me every time I’ve returned to Ashton Gate, and I appreciate that,” he stated. Hopefully, who knows, maybe I’ll be playing again and visit Bristol City.”If you would want, I can play for free. Here, I’m just trying to market myself. I may run into you people at Ashton Gate again, and I’m looking forward to our home game against you guys as well.”

“If Mr. Lansdown, the chairman, could give me another chance, even for a brief while. When my contract with QPR expires
