Celtic confident of securing deal for Nicolas Kuhn this week

A Daily Record article claims that Celtic are optimistic about landing Nicholas Kuhn this week.

With the intention of bolstering their roster, the Bhoys want to bring the 24-year-old into the fold soon.

Instead, according to the report, Kuhn engaged in a solitary “gym session” while awaiting approval to board a flight to Glasgow and finalise his departure from Austria.

For the German winger, the Hoops and Rapid Vienna have been in negotiations over a £3 million, four-and-a-half-year contract.

According to The Daily Record, Rodgers is reportedly interested in a left-back and a striker, maybe on a loan basis.

Kuhn would be a great asset to the team. He was previously at Ajax and Bayern Munich and is very highly-rated in the Austrian top-flight.

Gustaf Lagerbielke, a Swedish defender, may depart Parkhead before the end of the month. He is wanted by a number of Italian teams, and Celtic might let him go for the right price.

With 54 points, Celtic leads Rangers—who have played two fewer games—by eight points atop the Scottish Premiership standings.
