Celtic injuries and certain attacking Issues..

Every Celtic injury and the uncertainty surrounding their six important attacking performers’ return for the Cup Final

The winter fixture slate is busy, and the list of injured players is getting longer every day.

Ange Postecoglou has faced his fair share of injury setbacks since joining Celtic.

Winger James Forrest is the latest player to limp off with the Premier Sports Cup Final rapidly approaching and a busy December schedule ahead of them.

After a protracted absence, the 30-year-old has been gradually making a comeback and is currently targeting another stint outside of the Parkhead picture.

David Turnbull is now playing as a striker since there isn’t a ready striker for the first team.

The Australian acknowledged after the victory over Motherwell that “we’re not having a great run of it, but it’s another challenge for us.”

But will he get a boost for his threadbare squad in the coming weeks?

Furuhashi Kyogo
The Japanese player was brought on in the second half of the Europa League match against Real Betis due to a hamstring issue, but he was replaced later in the week.

Postecoglou anticipates that the striker will return to training prior to the Premier Sports Cup Final, nevertheless.

“I suppose Kyogo is probably the one people are most worried about,” he said.

It’s not a long-term one, as I mentioned. We won’t make a choice until we observe how he heals over the course of the next week.

Aljeti Albian
The Swiss forward took a knock in the final group match of the Europa League, and it appears like he will be out for a while.

Postecoglou, 24, has acknowledged that the hamstring injury he sustained in Spain is more serious than the one Japanese player Kyogo had.

“Albian Ajeti’s injury is more significant,” the manager stated, indicating a prolonged absence from the starting lineup.

Giakoumakis Giorgos
Giorgos Giakoumakis has struggled with his fitness since moving to Glasgow’s east end in the summer of last year.

Due to a knee injury sustained in November, he has not been included in the starting lineup while the squad faces an offensive problem.

Postecoglou does anticipate the striker’s return for the busy December schedule, though.

His estimated recovery time at the beginning of the month was “between two and three weeks.”

After taking a chance with the striker in the match, Parkhead manager James Forrest Forrest hobbled off during the first half of the team’s victory over Motherwell.

He answered, “I’m not really sure. I haven’t had a chance to speak with him, but he seemed to sense something.”

It is disheartening. Although he hasn’t been 100%, we thought he was ready for today’s game, but it clearly didn’t work out.”

Over the past 18 months, the 30-year-old has suffered from hamstring issues frequently.

Anthony Johnston
In the victory over the Steelmen, Johnston entered the game in place of Forrest, but he eventually had to be removed.

Postecoglou asserts that since the player wasn’t completely fit for the league match, this was a preventative step.

He said, “We didn’t start Mickey because he wasn’t at full strength. Today, the objective was to give him thirty minutes, but James obviously fell.

“He put in a big shift for us and he wasn’t 100 percent so we didn’t want to risk him towards the end.”

An extended absence has been Since rupturing his cruciate ligament during a goal-line clearing against Dundee United in December, Jullien has been unable to play.

The Frenchman has been putting a lot of effort into his recuperation off the pitch, but he is not yet prepared to play again. After missing a whole year of action, the centre defender is still far from fully recovered, according to manager Postecoglou, who announced last month that he won’t be ready for selection until 2022. The centre back has resumed training at Lennoxtown.

Josa
During Celtic’s 1-0 victory over Hearts, the Benfica loanee was replaced, raising immediate concerns that he might be out for several weeks.

Jota has left the Hampden centrepiece, according to Postecoglou, and isn’t anticipated to return until after the winter break.

He made the following statement prior to Real Betis’ matchup in the Europa League: “He won’t be fit for the cup final.”

“It’s going to be three-four weeks recovery depending how he goes so if you look at timelines it gets pretty tight for between now and the break.”

Dembele Karamoko
The young player, who was expected to go far, had a setback when he hobbled off during the preseason game against Bristol City.

He disclosed in October that he might need surgery as part of his rehabilitation from an ankle knock.
