CoventryLive provides Coventry City transfer news, rumours, and rumours as a Premier League team reportedly shows interest in the Sky Blues full-back.
According to reports, Fulham manager Marco Silva is “considering” making a deal for Coventry City right-back Milan van Ewijk this month because two of his existing defenders are in questionable situations.
In addition to being linked to Feyenoord and PSV in the summer, the 24-year-old full-back has already been the focus of transfer rumours this window after Dutch publication soccernews.nl reported that Turkish club Galatasaray was in negotiations with the Sky Blues over the player.
Although Van Ewijk has occasionally been inconsistent in his second season at the CBS Arena, he is still a vital member of the squad and City’s only senior right-back.
According to the Mirror, Fulham is still in talks with injured defender Kenny Tete on a new deal, which means that Silva, the manager of the Cottagers, “may look to strengthen” his backline now rather than wait until the summer. The 29-year-old Dutch star’s current contract is set to expire this summer, but according to the source, previous team Ajax is considering a potential comeback.
Added to that, it says, is the fact that fellow full-back Timothy Castagne is on Roma’s radar, leaving Fulham looking to be proactive in terms of strengthening the position.
