Coventry lead Birmingham Sunderland for Notts County striker>

In order to strengthen their team for a play-off push, the Sky Blues will have a hectic few weeks ahead of them.

Coventry City had a challenging start to the season, but the Sky Blues have since turned things around and are currently in the Championship play-off spots.

Naturally, Coventry’s team may have been suffering from a hangover following their loss in the play-off final the previous season, but in recent weeks, Mark Robins’ team has begun to play like the team that advanced them to the championship.

According to Coventry Live, the club has only brought in one player this month: Norwegian midfielder Victor Torp from Sarpsborg for a reported £2.1 million. Two players have already left, with Justin Obikwu joining Grimsby Town on loan and Yasin Ayari being recalled by Brighton from his loan period.

This month, Mark Robins has just under two weeks to complete any business, and the club is expected to be very busy. The most recent Coventry City transfer is shown here.

According to HITC, Macaulay Langstaff, a striker for Notts County, is a sought-after player this month, with several Championship clubs showing interest in the 26-year-old.

The striker was reportedly being considered by the Sky Blues at the start of the transfer window, according to Coventry Live. The guy who has scored 20 goals this season is wanted by Birmingham City, Sunderland, Wrexham, Derby County, Peterborough United, and Hearts, so if they decide to transfer this month, they will have fierce competition.

Coventry’s roster includes players like Matty Gooden, Ellis Simms, and Haji Wright, but Langstaff might bring something fresh to the table. Given how many teams are interested in him, the Sky Blues will need to act quickly if they want to make a move.

Godden scored twice in the team’s most recent FA Cup triumph over Oxford United, 6-2, but his subdued celebrations raised doubts among some supporters that he would depart this month.

The 32-year-old’s two goals were his 49th and 50th in Sky Blue, and his previous remarks—in which he expressed his desire to shatter the club’s all-time millennial record for goals—should ease any worries about a possible exit from the CBS Arena this month.

“I’ve really enjoyed it here, and I back myself to score at any level with the way I score goals,” he said to Coventry Live.

“I adore it here and have had a great time. And if I can, I really want to try to beat Gary McSheffrey’s all-time millennial record for the most goals he has set for Coventry. There are still 20 games remaining in the season, and there will be plenty more opportunities to score goals.

The news that Chelsea is not actively pursuing its former striker, Viktor Gyokeres, has come as a shock to Coventry. The Swedish international was reportedly linked to a big-money move to Chelsea, which would have a significant financial impact on the Sky Blues due to their 10% sell-on clause, according to the Lisbon-based tabloid Record.

Football London, however, has stated that Chelsea is not now interested in the player this month.

Coventry will not receive the £7.3 million windfall this month due to the move’s failure, despite a stated fee of £73 million in place. This is unfortunate because the money might have been used to reinvest in new signings this month.

Although Gyokeres’s transfer request appears improbable this month, it won’t be long before the Sky Blues receive a sizable payment for their former striker. Gyokeres will undoubtedly be the focus of transfer rumours once more in the summer.
