On the A282 northbound between J1B and J1A close to Dartford, lanes four and five are closed today.
It is believed that a collision on the M25 anticlockwise at the Dartford Tunnels caused the closure to begin at approximately 6:40 p.m.
On the way back to J3 of the M25, there are delays of forty-five minutes due to traffic at J2 at the Darenth interchange.
The National Highways reports that the collision involved several automobiles.
A “serious” incident on Wednesday caused the M25 to be stopped for many hours near the Dartford Crossing.
According to Kent Police, they were summoned to the motorcycle crash on the clockwise carriageway shortly after 14:30 GMT.
The event resulted in the closure of both the clockwise and anticlockwise carriageways, and the air ambulance was also dispatched to the location.
According to Highways England South East, the clockwise carriage opened last at 20:00 GMT, with significant delays still present in both directions.
According to a spokeswoman, two of the four clockwise lanes were still blocked “to allow for clear-up works to take place.”
The organization recommended drivers to leave extra time and warned of delays of two hours in a clockwise direction and thirty minutes in an anticlockwise direction.
Due to the previous shutdown, traffic was diverted through Dartford and Greenhithe, resulting in “heavy” traffic on the A2 and A13, according to traffic supplier Inrix.
