Former Browns Coach Dumped by New Team

, the former coach of the Cleveland Browns, is unemployed once more.

Jackson’s two years with Grambling State came to an end this week when he was fired. Under Jackson, the Tigers went 8–14, and they recently concluded a 5–6 campaign.

“We are appreciative of Coach Jackson’s contributions to the GSU football team. Dr. Trayvean Scott, vice president of intercollegiate athletics, wished the man well in all of his future undertakings. “Although it was not an easy choice to make, we believed it was essential to the success of our programme. GSU wants to be a contender for titles each and every year. We’ll make a conscious effort going forward to select the best candidate to guide this programme back to its

Jackson’s tenure with the Browns is most likely the reason for his fame. When he led the Cleveland Indians to a 0-16 season in 2013, he was 3-36-1.

Hue Jackson Discusses the Most Recent Firing
Jackson believed that his team was just beginning to turn the corner into a contender and disagreed with Grambling State’s decision.

Jackson stated in an interview with “Offscript,” which hbcusports.com transcribed, “At the end of the day, people will only focus on the wins and losses, but I know for a fact… we were turning that programme back into the monster that we all wanted it to be.” “When you first arrive, you have to give it three years. Jackson did not spend a full three seasons with the Browns either, but in his third season, it was clear that things were not going well for the team. Following a 2-5-1 start to the season, he was let go. Under interim head coach Gregg Williams, the Browns finished that season with a 7-8-1 record.

After firing, Hue Jackson has taken jabs at the Browns.
It’s safe to assume that Jackson’s departure from Cleveland was not amicable. Jackson claimed that Browns owners incentivized losing — a claim that the NFL would later say couldn’t be substantiated.

Hue Jackson has never once taken ownership of our performance during that time frame, according to Knoxville News, which Browns co-owner Jimmy Haslam stated in 2022. “He’s very good at assigning blame, but he’s never taken ownership of it. I have taken a lot of the blame, and with good reason.

“I could have done a lot of things better,” Hue has never taken ownership of anything.

Given that Jackson, 58, has more than 35 years of coaching experience under his belt, it’s possible that he will eventually find work as a coordinator or position coach.
