Gun-wielding thugs killed four, left more than 30 injured and many more living in fear during a year of violence on Merseyside.
Streets, parks and homes were placed on lockdown 89 times in 12 months as the region fell victim to a significant rise in shootings.
While many were classed as “targeted” attacks linked to underworld disputes, those pulling the trigger repeatedly put others at risk.
Nans and babies were left needing treatment after being hit by splinters of wood and glass fragments caused as bullets and shotgun pellets struck their homes.
