2023 fifth-round selection As a rookie, Henry To’oTo’o went above and beyond for the Houston Texans. Two of his 61 tackles were going for a loss.
He was added to the starting lineup this season and has performed admirably ever since. He has participated in nine games, all of which he began. With 63 tackles, six for a loss, and one sack, he has already outperformed his stats from the previous season.
In Week 11, he noticed a decline in his snap count in spite of this. He posted a season-high 64 against the Detroit Lions and has recorded at least 50 in every game since Week 1. He also had his worst game of the season against Detroit, according to PFF.
Maybe it explains why he had a season-low 26 snaps against Dallas. Devin White went from 12 snaps against Detroit to 50 during the victory over the Dallas Cowboys as a result of To’oTo’o’s decline in playing time. In the last two weeks, he has also recorded his two best games of the season.
Although Houston hasn’t publicly stated that they are replacing To’oTo’o, the division of their time in Week 11 raises the possibility.
His presence has helped Houston win, even if To’oTo’o is the starter and White comes on as a substitute to play with Azeez Al-Shaair the entire time. White signed with the Philadelphia Eagles after being selected in the first round by the Tampa Bay Bucs in 2019, but he never played a down for them. He was called in by the Texans on October 23 after being released in early October.
