A road has been closed in Wigan this afternoon after reports of a serious crash between a car and a motorbike.
Emergency services raced to Bolton Road in Ashton-in-Makerfield at around 1pm on Tuesday (November 12). Eyewitnesses report seeing an air ambulance land nearby, as medics attend the scene.
Police, fire crews, and paramedics can be seen on Bolton Road, which is closed in both directions from Wigan Road to Bryn Road South.
Greater Manchester Police and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for more information.

Almost six hours on from the major collision earlier today, Bolton Road is still blocked.
Investigators from GMP remain at the scene.
The latest from traffic service Inrix says: “A58 Bolton Road in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident investigation work from A5062 Wigan Road (Ashton In Makerfield, Wigan) to Bryn Road South (Ashton In Makerfield, Wigan ).
Two in hospital with serious injures
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At 1pm on Tuesday 12 November , firefighters were called out to a road traffic collision on Bolton Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield.
“Two fire engines from Wigan Fire Station as well as a Tactical Response Unit from Leigh, quickly attended the scene where a car and a motorbike had collided. Two casualties were taken to Salford Royal Hospital with serious injuries. Two other casualties were taken to Wigan Infirmary with minor injuries. Crews were in attendance for over an hour as they made the scene safe.”
