For their match against Hull FC on Saturday, Leeds Rhinos could welcome back two important players, as Rohan Smith has named both David Fusitu’a and Tom Holroyd in his 21-man roster. This season, Fusitu’a has only appeared in one game and has been sidelined since April. Holroyd has also missed the previous two months of action.
Rhyse Martin is mentioned elsewhere. The Papua New Guinea international’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, and Leeds Live revealed on Thursday that Leigh Leopards have put up a sizable bid for the back rower.
Regarding injuries, Leeds will be without Andy Ackers because of the protocols around concussions in sports. James Donaldson, Matty Russell, Luis Roberts, and James Bentley are also not with the Rhinos.
The match on Saturday marks Hull and Leeds’ second meeting of the season; at the end of April, Leeds prevailed 18–12. The Rhinos are playing their first game since Rob Burrow’s tragic death, and earlier this week, the Black and Whites announced a number of pre-game tributes.
