Police on patrol in handsworth found fireworks being sold illegally out of the back of this van,which arrest was made…

Following more chaos with pyrotechnics in Birmingham last night, a HAUL of illegal fireworks were confiscated, and other juveniles were taken into custody.

Groups let off fireworks at each other, buildings, and police officers in the vicinity of Bagot Street and Staniforth Street during the course of the night.

It comes after an incident that occurred in the same part of the city early on Thursday, October 31, in which two persons were hurt after becoming entangled in a fireworks-related commotion.

To find suspects who were allegedly tossing pyrotechnics, West Midlands Police issued a dispersal order and employed drones and stop and search authority.

A 17-year-old kid has been taken into custody on charges of assaulting an officer, violent behaviour, and fireworks violations.

An 18-year-old guy has been taken into custody on suspicion of violent disorder, fireworks offences, and offensive weapon Police make further arrests in relation to Birmingham Gay Village attackPossession.

After being detained for assaulting an officer, a 19-year-old male was dealt with through community resolution.

In a different incident that happened last night in Handsworth, Birmingham, police discovered a guy selling explosives illegally out of the back of his truck.

The van and the fireworks inside have been seized by West Midlands Police, who are looking into any possible connections between the two occurrences.

“We won’t tolerate such appalling behaviour which we know is frightening for people and puts them at risk of harm,” West Midlands Police said in a statement.

“An investigation team is looking into the video, and we plan to bring charges against those involved.

“To keep our communities safe, we’ll be implementing another tough, targeted policing operation today and in the days ahead.”
