Young Motorcyclist dies after crash in Newbury
WHDH Newbury, Massachusetts According to state police, a motorcyclist lost his life Wednesday after colliding with a median cable barrier on I-95 in Newbury.
The collision occurred on the southbound side of I-95 close to Exit 83 just after 7 a.m.
According to state police, troopers came and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation until firefighters could arrive.
The injured motorcyclist was taken by emergency personnel to Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, where he was declared deceased.
According to state police, while the investigation was ongoing, crews blocked two lanes of traffic in the vicinity for a number of hours. Around 10 a.m., traffic returned to normal.
Investigations into the crash are still ongoing.
The motorbike seemed to be the sole vehicle involved in the collision, according to a Wednesday afternoon update from the Newbury Fire Department.
