Los Angeles Rams SIGN VETERAN KICKER TO join the SQUAD

The Los Angeles Rams are bringing in some competition for their struggling kicker Lucas Havrisik. The team announced on Wednesday that they have signed veteran Mason Crosby to their practice squad.

Prior to departing the Green Bay Packers in March following the expiration of his contract, Crosby played his entire 16-year NFL career with them. The 39-year-old player has worked out for several teams, including the New York Giants and New Orleans Saints, but he has not yet made an appearance this season.

Journeyman Brett Maher began the 2023 season as the starting kicker for the Rams. After missing two field goals and an extra point in a Week 7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Maher was cut loose. Havrisik, who had previously been a member of the Cleveland Browns practise squad, was then signed by the LA team.

Havrisik has also shown himself to be unreliable, missing one PAT and three field goals in his first five games. In the victory over the Cleveland Browns last week, one of these 43-yarders was missed.

Throughout his pro career, Mason Crosby has proven to be a dependable kicker for the most part. In his 485 career field goal attempts, he made 81.4%, and his extra point conversion percentage was 97.3%. Four field goals were missed by Crosby for the
