A MAN has died near Irvine Beach Park today, Monday February 26, police have confirmed.
It comes after allegations from the community that earlier this morning, the parking lot close to Marine Drive was blocked off.
Officers have since verified that they were dispatched to the location in response to concerns about a person just after eight in the morning.
A 33-year-old male was pronounced dead at the site by emergency personnel.
There is no reason to suspect his death, and the Procurator Fiscal will get a report.
“We received a report of concern for a person at South Beach Irvine, around 8.05am on Monday, February 26, 2024,” a Police Scotland spokeswoman stated.
After emergency personnel arrived, a 33-year-old man was declared deceased on the spot.
“The death is not being investigated further, and the Procurator Fiscal will receive a report.”
