Max Lowe’s sends emotional message to Sheffield Wednesday after signing

Sheffield Wednesday announced the signing of Max Lowe on Saturday, ahead of his Sheffield United contract expiring.

Sheffield Wednesday have now announced two new signings in the space of two days, with free agent goalkeeper Ben Hamer becoming the Owl’s first signing of the summer on Friday.

The 36-year-old becomes Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl’s first permanent recruit after being let go by Watford at the end of the previous campaign.

Then, on Saturday, the Owls announced the arrival of Max Lowe. When his contract ends at the end of June, Sheffield United will release the 27-year-old left-back.

On July 1st, he will formally don the blue and white of Sheffield, hoping to get past a number of years’ worth of injury setbacks.

Lowe played for the Blades for just 53 first-team appearances in his four years at Bramall Lane. Throughout his career, he also played for Aberdeen, Derby County, Nottingham Forest and Shrewsbury Town.
