Newcastle now interested in signing Chelsea £26m attacker with ‘room for improvement’

Newcastle United, who are constantly searching for young talent, are now expressing interest in acquiring an attacker with a market value of £26 million.

The club has made a major effort to draw in the top young players from across the globe ever since Dan Ashworth took over as sports director.

According to Mucho Deporte, Newcastle is vying with Premier League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea for Real Betis teenager Assane Diao.

Betis disapprove of Diao’s £26 million clause.
Since making his debut in the Europa League against Rangers, the 18-year-old has played in 14 senior matches for the Spanish club, and he has been quite outstanding.

The winger is now the youngest player to score in La Liga in the twenty-first century after doing so against Valencia and Granada in his opening two matches.

In his first 14 games, Diao has also scored six goals, and several elite European teams are beginning to show a lot of interest in him.

Ramon Planes, the sports director of Real Betis, stated of the winger: “He is a footballer with a great room for improvement.”

He still has a great deal of room to grow. Even in the two games he’s played with Betis, it has been evident. His development in the young squad after his incorporation was already evident.

“His genetic makeup has given him certain traits, but he’s also a quick learner,”

Betis is not content with his current release clause of €30 million or £26 million and are aiming to renew again in order to boost it to €40 million [£34.7 million] at the very least, even though he only signed a new agreement with the club in July.

Diao may emerge as Newcastle’s next big prospect.
Garang Kuol and Yankuba Minteh are just two examples of the players Newcastle has added recently after they shown significant promise at their previous teams.

This season, both were sent out on loan to hone their skills and get first-team experience; if the club wins the battle to sign Diao, this may also be the case for him.

Eddie Howe may have a lot of options in the wide spots currently, but Diao’s strength and adaptability might provide something new.
