Northampton named Bristol Rovers player to replacement Jon Brady after deal comfirm

Kevin Nolan, a former midfielder for West Ham United, is rumoured to be named Northampton Town’s new manager.

After losing to Birmingham City 2-0 on the road last week, the Shoe Army fired John Brady. But it appears that the search for a new management is almost over.

Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider has confirmed via X that the former manager of Leyton Orient and Notts County is expected to return to management. He is up against Northampton Town in a League One relegation match this time.

Although Nolan was rumoured to be taking over at Bristol Rovers, he is now expected to join their league rivals.

The South West club has had an odd week because they allegedly tried to hire Michael Wimmer, the former manager of VfB Stuttgart. But this came to a standstill when his application for a work permit was denied, and an appeal was turned down, leaving the Gas looking for other options.

Although they are still looking for a new manager, Northampton appears to have found one.
