A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a vehicle in Gillingham. Police are now urging witnesses to the collision yesterday (August 21) to come forward.
Officers were called to Richmond Road at around 2.15pm after the crash involving a black Mercedes convertible and a black Triumph motorbike. Crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service and the air ambulance also attended.
The rider of the bike, a man in his 40s, died at the scene. His next of kin has been informed, Kent Police said.
Due to the collision, Richmond Road was blocked in both directions. It is thought to have occurred in the vicinity of Chatsworth Road and James Street.
