Rangers have been dealt an injury blow in Philippe Clement’s first match in charge”

Rangers’ Borna Barisic suffered an injury blow as he was forced off against the Hibs.

Borna Barisic was unable to continue, therefore the new manager had only ten minutes before having to make a replacement.

It seemed that the full-back was having trouble with his thigh before the medical staff decided to substitute him.

And Ridvan Yilmax was ready at Ibrox in no time to take the defender’s place.

It comes after Clement vowed to change Rangers training methods in an effort to reduce the number of injuries.

Despite only having a few sessions with his new charges, the Belgian manager is determined to make adjustments to training going forward.

“Of course, having all the players out of the game for 90 minutes at this time is too much,” he stated.

As a manager, you’re not content with that; you want every player to be healthy.

Maintaining everyone’s fitness level is one of our responsibilities.

“While accidents do occur in contact sports, there were never many injuries and more than 90% of workers were available in every location I worked.

“That’s one of the things we want to improve over the next couple of months.”

Clement went on to say that he would alter training schedules in order to avoid injuries: “Yes. I can’t go into too much detail, but here are some specifics on our training regimen, duration, and activities.

“There are a lot of things we can do in a different way.”
