‘Reaction as’-Blackburn Rovers send Preston North End Lancashire strong warning’

Preston North End host Blackburn Rovers in a Lancashire Derby at Deepdale on Saturday.

Two key Blackburn Rovers figures have come out to speak of the importance of a response ahead of their Lancashire Derby against Preston North End.

Blackburn suffered a 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City on Tuesday night, as John Eustace’s first official game in charge. Andre Dozzell netted at St Andrew’s which kept them in the lowly 16th position in the Championship table

For Blackburn, it was their sixth straight loss away from home this season. Their last road victory occurred in November against Stoke City, and they had let up the first goal in each of their previous six losses.

The next game for Blackburn is a trip to Deepdale against Preston North End, who have been playing well at home lately. They play Middlesbrough this evening after winning three of their last four games in front of home fans.

John Eustace, the manager of Blackburn, gave a preview of his team’s approach and what needs to be done to win before this Saturday’s Derby encounter.

“We’ve had some really difficult moments away from home throughout the season,” said Eustace.

Dom Hyam, the captain of Blackburn’s team, also discussed the significance of the match. The 28-year-old has set a goal for his team, which is to either win or draw. If they succeed, they will have scored four or six points out of a potential nine during the previous seven days.

Hyam stated: “It would be good and an improvement over what we have been if we could achieve another good result on Saturday, if we could take four or six points out of the week.

“A long way to go, many points to play for so a good reaction is needed.”
