Swindon push win race for Crystal Palace ace

According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Swindon Town is attempting to recruit Crystal Palace midfielder Jadan Raymond before a number of EFL opponents during this month’s transfer window.

The 21-year-old Raymond is fully recovered and is prepared to be loaned by Palace in order to gain crucial first-team experience in the second half of the season.

Swindon are keen to land Raymond as they look to add to their attacking options with manger Ian Holloway understood to be a big admirer of the player.

Jadan Raymond can help Swindon remain in the Football League

Swindon can stay in the Football League with the aid of Jadan Raymond.
Swindon is currently eight points above the relegation zone and in 18th place in League Two.

The gifted Raymond is thought to be a good short-term alternative for Holloway, who was hired in October 2024 and is searching for attacking options.

With ten goals this season, Harry Smith leads Swindon in scoring, but he is still their only serious goal threat because Kabongo Tshimanga and Will Wright, the Robins’ next two scorers, both have three goals.

Despite returning from an injury layoff last year, the Wales U19 international has not yet made an appearance for the starting lineup.

Since Romain Esse arrived from Millwall, Raymond, a young player, has slipped farther down the Palace hierarchy.

Earlier in the January transfer window, Raymond was linked to short-term transfers to Colchester and Dundee.

Given that Marc Guehi has been linked to a move to his old team, Chelsea, the youthful prospect might not be the only player departing Selhurst Park this season.

In other news, during the January transfer window, Stoke City is interested in one of Palace’s talents.

Bolton Wanderers sack Ian Evatt as new manager lined up – sources

After four and a half years in charge, Bolton Wanderers fired manager Ian Evatt, according to sources who spoke to Football Insider.

The 43-year-old leaves following Tuesday, January 21,’s 2-1 home loss to Charlton Athletic.

Bolton is now three points outside of a play-off spot and ninth in League One as a result of the loss.

After firing Evatt, who guided the team to the third-tier play-off final the previous season, the Trotters are already searching the market for a new manager.

Just one month after openly supporting Evatt in a statement last month, owner Sharon Brittan has decided to split from the former defender.

When Bolton plays high-flying Huddersfield in League One on Saturday, January 25, they could not have a manager.

Evatt’s team has now lost ten times in the third division of the 2024–25 season, and he has only managed two victories in his last eight League One games.

After Bolton approached the then-Barrow manager and persuaded him to leave the League Two team, he accepted the position in June 2020.
