Rovers get a new centre-back, giving Jordan Moore-Taylor, Ben Tozer, and Ryan Inniss even more competition.
Cian Harries, a former center-half for Woking, has signed a permanent contract with Forest Green Rovers.
The 27-year-old, who has played in 66 games at the level during his career, joins Rovers from fellow National League team Woking in a second transaction of the day following Luke McCormick’s arrival from Bristol Rovers on loan.
Jordan Moore-Taylor sustained an injury during the 0-0 draw with Barnet on Tuesday night. Thus, in that centre defensive position, Harries will offer good cover and pose a threat to the starting XI.
This season, the defender has made 24 league appearances for the Cards and has one goal to his credit.
Harries spent his youth career with Coventry City before eventually leaving to join Swansea City in 2017.
