Authorities announced on Thursday that a 64-year-old motorcyclist in Sussex County passed away from his injuries a few days after colliding on September 14.
Just before six o’clock in the evening, State Police said, Timothy L. Angle was riding east on Monroe Road in Lafayette when his bike slid off the road as he turned a curve.
Before Angle was flung from the motorcycle, it overturned and collided with a tree, according to the officials. After being taken to a nearby hospital, Angle, of Rockaway Township, passed suddenly on September 14.
According to State Police, the crash is still being looked into.
After 25 years of service, Angle retired from the Rockaway Township parks and recreation department earlier this year, according to an online obituary.
He is survived by two children, his mother, three brothers and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Angle enjoyed restoring antique cars and snowmobiling trips to Canada, according to the obituary.
