Walsall boss Sadler reacts to “massive” point against Salford City

After Cole Stockton and Hakeeb Adelakun had put Salford ahead by two goals, Danny Johnson came off the bench to salvage a point with a spectacular late double.

After consecutive losses to Fleetwood Town and Bradford City, Walsall put an end to the rot, but their lead at the top was reduced to seven points.

Sadler was sad that Walsall did not win all the points because of the way they won the point, which felt like a victory.

“Some points feel bigger than others,” he remarked. I’m disappointed that we lost that game because I felt we were the superior team and they wasted time in the first ten minutes.

Not only that, but it was the manner in which they earned the point that demonstrated the character still seeping from this squad.

Mat Sadler constantly preaches the importance of his squad and even the fringe players have installed key chapters along the way this campaign.
