Cam Scott says a ‘change was needed’ after confirmation of his exit from Hull FC at the end of the season. The 24-year-old will join Wakefield Trinity for 2025 and beyond, as first reported by Hull Live back in March.
Scott has signed a two-year deal with the West Yorkshire club, who hold the option of a third year. His move to Trinity will end a seven-year stay at Hull, with Scott joining the Black and Whites ahead of the 2017 season.
The centre, who can also double up as a back rower and winger, has gone on to make 73 appearances for the club to date, scoring 15 tries.
In a farewell statement, Scott said, “I’m thoroughly enjoying my time at Hull FC and the place means a lot to me. I’m looking forward to finishing this season in the best way possible and with my best foot forward. I’m also looking forward to a new challenge with Wakefield, who are doing a lot of things right both on and off the field. The prospect is exciting.” Scott is Wakefield’s third player to join the team.
