Five treated after multi-vehicle crash in Bloxwich flips truck onto its side

A lorry carrying a load of bananas overturned today on an A289 roundabout.

Five people have been treated by ambulance staff after a multi-vehicle crash on a busy Walsall Road.

Two ambulances were called to Lichfield Road , near the crossing with Selmans Hill in Bloxwich , after 6.30am today after a collision saw at least two cars damaged and a truck flipped on its side.

 A spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service said five people were treated at the scene.

Meanwhile, debris was spread across the street, near Walsall Academy school, along with two badly damaged cars.

At the time of writing, details on the extent of injuries are not known but an ambulance service spokesman said this morning: She said: “We were called at 6.36am to reports of an overturned lorry two ambulances attended.
