The Warrington Wolves’ Round Three matchup against the Castleford Tigers on Friday is scheduled to feature an all-star lineup, according to SAM Burgess.
That is in spite of Jordy Crowther’s return to the mix, as the forward is once again eligible for selection after serving a one-match suspension.
In his place, Ben Currie moved inside to loose forward, Adam Holroyd started in the second row, and Max Wood made his senior debut off the bench.
Additionally, Burgess stated three days prior to the match that he was eager to give the players that faced Hull FC another opportunity to excel.
During the pre-game press conference this afternoon, he stated, “We’ll be the same 17 this week.”
“We’ll give Jordan Crowther an extra week; he won’t play. On his debut, Max Wood impressed me; he didn’t disappoint, but I knew he wouldn’t.
“I adore the young men who volunteer and take on responsibility.” They rarely let you down, but they need to improve their execution. Castleford will undoubtedly give our right-edge defence some flak this week, but it will be beneficial to their learning.
