The Championship Requires – West Brom Owner Issues Message After Watford Draw
Owner of West Brom, Shilen Patel, has expressed his happiness with the Baggies’ tenacity in securing a point against Watford on Easter Monday.
Watford took a two-goal lead at the Hawthorns in the Championship, and it appeared as though Carlos Corberan’s team would lose when the lead was sustained until the 70th minute. It was Brandon Thomas-Asante who reduced the deficit, while Darnell Furlong subsequently snatched a goal in stoppage time to clinch a 2-2 draw for West Brom.
As a result of the outcome, West Brom is now in fifth place in the Championship rankings and is getting closer to guaranteeing a postseason spot.
Although Baggies owner Paul Patel acknowledges that the day was disappointing, he thinks West Brom displayed certain traits that the Championship requires.
West Brom have not been beaten since the middle of February and are next due to travel to take on strugglers Stoke City.
