Ismaël gets boost to his squad as two key players make return from injury#

After recovering from an injury, Edo Kayembe will be added back to the matchday roster for Tuesday, February 13, 7:45 p.m. KO, Sky Bet Championship match against Norwich City, according to Valérien Ismaël.

The midfield player was scheduled to play for the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the Africa Cup of Nations, but he was forced to return home after suffering a calf injury on New Year’s Day against Plymouth Argyle.

“It’s fantastic news that Edo is back in the squad for the game at Norwich,” stated the head coach. He took a huge step forward last week, and I believe that he is now more prepared to compete—maybe not right away, but at least he will be able to support us.”

Ismaël gave an update on Jeremy Ngakia, the right-back, who is recuperating nicely from an ankle injury.

“Jeremy is fully training with the squad,” he stated. The strategy with him is to train for an entire week, allow him to participate for at least 45 minutes in the Under-21s game over the weekend, and then assess his progress.”
