Starting next month, motorists in Watford will have to pay more to park in on-street pay and display zones.
Watford Borough Council has published details of the planned price increases in regulated parking zones, which will take effect on June 3, via the Public Notice Portal.
This is used to obtain all impending and current information concerning various limitations and alerts.
In Central Zones: A, B, C, E, F (Lower High Street only), G, H, and K, Vicarage Road alone.
Up to 12 minutes: 40p (existing cost) rising to 50p (proposed cost).
– More than 12 minutes but not exceeding 24 minutes: From 70p rising to 80p
– More than 24 minutes but not exceeding 36 minutes: From £1 rising to £1.20
– More than 36 minutes but not exceeding 48 minutes: From £1.30 rising to £1.60
– More than 48 minutes but not exceeding 1 hour: From £1.60 rising to £2
– More than 1 hour but not exceeding 2 hours: From £3.20 rising to £4
– More than 2 hours but not exceeding 3 hours: From £4.80 rising to £6
– More than 3 hours but not exceeding 4 hours: From £6.40 rising to £8
In Outlying Zones: D, F (except for Lower High Street), J, K (except for Vicarage Road), L, M/N, S, T and V:
– Up to 12 minutes: From 30p rising to 40p
– More than 12 minutes but not exceeding 24 minutes: From 50p rising to 70p
– More than 24 minutes but not exceeding 36 minutes: From 70p rising to £1.00
– More than 36 minutes but not exceeding 48 minutes: From 90p rising to £1.30
– More than 48 minutes but not exceeding 1 hour: From £1.10 rising to £1.60
– More than 1 hour but not exceeding 2 hours: From £2.20 rising to £3.20
– More than 2 hours but not exceeding 3 hours: From £3.30 rising to £4.80
– More than 3 hours but not exceeding 4 hours: From £4.40 rising to £6.40
The cost of residents’ permits in controlled parking zones is also set to increase from June 3.
A full-time permit is due to go up from £28 to £31, while for a second full-time permit the cost will increase from £61 to £66.
